MUSHROOM or HAT?

these actually remind me a lot of a mushroom that grew in our garden, only there i had to stop and wonder: MUSHROOM or FRUIT PEEL?

reading a piece about the latest shopping apps, i vaguely recalled hearing about how in the early computer age, computer engineers suggested that housewives might use them for keeping inventories of their freezers, fridges and, possibly, wardrobes.
